Employment: Full Time

An industry leading freight forwarding business is looking to recruit a passionate, results focused, operations & commercially minded individual to join their award winning and successful management team.

This position will be responsible for meeting the Middle East freight forwarder requirements to support the Middle East Operations – Land, Air & Sea freight including customs and clearance matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing the achievement of the financial, qualitative and activity objectives (commercial/sales development, optimizations and projects) of our client.

Job Scope:
• Driving service, quality and adding value to customers by supporting, leading and motivating the team; and critically ensuring that resources in all locations are in place to meet any ad-hoc projects the company may implement.
• Meet or exceed the sales targets - Build and maintain business relationships with assigned customers (internal/external) - Be a source of market intelligence and leads for sales - Identify and develop potential opportunities in conjunction with the Sales Team
• Produce and correlate accurate MI from all locations and offer strategic business development and improvement ideas.
• Be innovative and tenacious in seeking out new 3rd party carriers and suppliers in order to secure the best possible prices for our company and our customers along with improved efficiency.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required by the Directors commensurate with the responsibilities of the job or the requirements of the business
• On-call support for the 24/7 operations departments
• Compiling, tracking and reviewing a KPI suite for the Operations’ performance, which will be presented to the management board.
• Formulate and implement departmental policies and procedures to maximise our success rates, and to monitor adherence to internal procedures, ensure all processes are successfully implemented by local management.
• Contribute to the development of the operational strategy as part of the overall business strategy - Ensure flawless Service Delivery meeting and exceeding customer expectations in all business segments - Continuously drive down cost of execution and improve productivity

Requirements

• University graduate in any relevant fields (European educated)
• MUST BE fluent in spoken and written English language
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project forwarding , with a proven track record in the above specialty disciplines
• Consultative and solution based experience in a business to business environment an advantage; knowledge of working through a network an advantage
• Proven track record with working international companies and knowledge of e-commerce logistics a distinct advantage
• Cultural sensitivity essential and must have experience of working internationally and have a proven capability to manage diverse teams
• Team player with leadership skills who enjoys building client relationships and adding customer value
• Very strong sales and marketing skills IN THE FREIGHT FORWARDING INDUSTRY, with preferably a strong business knowledge within the Middle and Near East region (list attached)
• In depth general knowledge of land, air and ocean freight and the logistics distribution industry
• Experience in dealing with a diverse range of foreign international transport companies and proven communications skills. Multi-lingual abilities are an advantage
• University degree in any relevant subject
• Excellent command of spoken and written ENGLISH
• Strong organizational skills, working independently
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Good skills in operating computer office programs
• Ability and desire to travel extensively around the region, possibly up to 50% of the time

Package Offered – 30-38K total monthly package plus bonus, medical and flight tickets.
