General Manager - Operations - Joinery

Our client established in the UAE more than 15 years ago has seen impressive growth and demand for their products and services.

Delivering a range of design options and tailor made building materials to major projects across the GCC including Meydan, Dubai Metro, Salalah Airport, Doha International Airport, etc

Due to their operations expanding in their joinery division, we are seeking a General Manager to lead a team of highly skilled professionals and to drive the business successfully

Key responsibilities and knowledge of the role are as follows:
• Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
• Coordinate business operations - Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of products.
• Develop business strategies and goals
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Direct and coordinate the organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
• Work directly with Clients
• Regulatory compliance
• Develop and oversee operating budget
• Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
• Set department Vision goals based on the company’s plans
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
• Oversee all Human Resources functions
• Develop New Business Opportunities
• Write reports on business operations for the executive staff
• Represent company in relevant professional organizations
• Additional duties assigned or deemed necessary for effective business effective operations.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Architecture or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years experience of which 3 years at senior management level
• Previous experience in managing a Joinery / production facility
• Experienced in managing a portfolio of AED 50million to AED 80million
• Possess excellent leadership skills and prepared to be hands-on
• Candidates currently in the UAE are preferred
