Job description / Role
General Manager, up to AED 45,000 per month - Fujairah
Our client has a very successful agriculture business located in Fujairah. They are seeking a General Manager with at least 8 years’ experience in Fresh Produce and who understands the full cycle of Farm to Market with a strong distribution contact network. You must be willing to relocate to Fujairah. Please respect the criteria requirements and only apply if you meet these as you will not be considered if you do not, this role is not open to candidates who do not currently reside here and you will not be considered with the Agri business experience.
Description:
• Lead the Agricultural company to commercialize the current/pending projects
• Monitor full cycle of agricultural businesses including quality control of fresh produce, supply and demand
• Ensure relevant technology evolution are employed and implemented successfully when needed
• Ensure all Agricultural businesses are effectively managed to meet financial and operational KPIs (Maximize efficiencies in operations)
• Provide guidance to managers of Agricultural businesses
• Ensure continuous growth by seeking business opportunities
• Study and analyze market and industry trends to ensure further business development, constantly monitor your competitors produce to ensure you don’t fall behind in the market
• Ensure current regulations concerning our clients’ activities comply with local and federal regulations
• Ensure Health and Safety Standards are maintained
• Conduct periodic evaluation and yearly appraisals to monitor Managers’ performance and ensure they are on right track
• Prepare enhancement plan (if needed) to close the gap and develop businesses
• Monitor performance and productivity of employees on an ongoing basis
• Ensure employees attend training programs. Advise on training programs for employees
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure the right brand message is being conveyed
• Coordinate with the HR Team to ensure high qualified manpower are hired, trained, and motivated
Salary:
AED
30,000 to 45,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
Criteria:
• 8 years’ Agricultural business sector experience, specifically in Fresh Produce
• Must have UAE experience
• Degree educated
• Proactive
• Strong character
• Excellent communicator
• A high level of integrity
• Strong management and business background
• Good understanding of labour environment and business law
• Solid judgement qualities
• Self-motivated
• Must be willing to relocate to Fujairah
• Must currently reside in the UAE
