Job description / Role
An exciting opportunity with an established leading Middle East based National Oil Company, that functions throughout onshore development sites as well as in the shallow coastal waters with a number of productive oil fields.
JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Conduct Geodetic surveys and mapping required within operation & exploration areas.
· Participate in Topographic mapping and satellite imagery and GIS information services
· Plans and executes mapping programs to produce Topographic, Hydrographic and Engineering maps, necessary for the prospective development projects within ADCO concession areas.
· Contributes to range of more complex geodetic or photogrammetric surveying studies to meet project requirements, developing concise, regular and ad-hoc reports on time, as required.
· Prepares periodic and ad hoc geodetic reports regarding field activities, observations and interpretations.
· Keeps abreast of new development in operations geodetic in terms of geodetic computer applications, attending conferences, symposia for society meetings and relating functions.
REMUNERATION:
– An attractive remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidates and will be in line with a competitive industry standard.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
A university degree in Geomatics Engineering or equivalent discipline is required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
6 years experience in Surveying, GIS, Geodesy, Remote Sensing etc. Good knowledge of computers and Surveying related software e.g. ArcView, ArcGIS, Erdas Imagine, SKI, Leica Geo-Office, GeoExpress.
