The Company

Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading company based in Dubai who are market leaders in their field. Due to a reorganisation, they are looking to recruit a Global Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

The Role

* You will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations for planning and budgeting purposes.
* Reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions.
* Regular management reporting to give an overview of business and financial performance. Highlight trends, key actions, and strategic implications.
* Ensure that all routine management information is produced in a timely manner, contains reliable information which has been agreed by key stakeholders.
* Deliver insight and analysis which helps the business to achieve strategic goals and deliver the annual budget.
* Track performance against key targets and outcomes and produce regular corporate level management information to all senior management and the CFO.
* Support each area of the region/function appropriately so that managers across the company understand and 'own' their numbers and receive analysis that informs and supports effective decision making.
* Lead commercial-financial insights and analysis for the business. Be the focal point for complex business-financial queries, providing advice to stakeholders.
* Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results. Provide insights around financial modelling, forecasts, and profitability. Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost center results.
* Implement improved processes, systems, and analytical tools to improve the quality of financial analysis.
* Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team. Develop and present a deeper understanding of trends within the industry to track performance against competitors.
* Liaising with Function Heads, Regional Top Management and Strategy divisions to set targets across entities and regions.
* Planning of the budget and budget consolidation across the network.
* Prepare monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts (for consolidation, region and country).
* Control of Budget Spend specifically in relation to Capex and Headcount.
* Enhancement of policies of procedures within the function to leverage visibility and efficiencies.
* Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period.
* Management of direct and support and engagement with indirect reports across the network.
* Analysis of financial information for entities across the network to ensure all operations are within the budget.
* Develop and manage an Activity Based Costing toll and focus
* Provide insight into levels of resources required to optimize profitability at both a gross margin and operating margin level.
* Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance.
* Develop the culture of financial know-how of key stakeholders to understand financial nuances.
* Review processes/operations, communicate results and recommend new productivity or cost saving initiatives to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations.

Requirements

The Candidate

* Qualified chartered/cost/management accountant or MBA
* 12+ years of work experience in finance department of a global organization in a similar role
* Has commercially acumen to provide better financial insights to business
* Process and data driven with ability to solve complex problems
* Excellent communication
* Experience of leading team and training them
* Experience in implementing budget and forecasting ERP modules (SAP)
* Experience in implementing Activity Based Costing routines
* Change of management culture
