Lead our dynamic team of engineers to create your dream in Big Data. As Global Head of Engineering you'll take the reins to drive intellectual property development, not just for all of Pegasus, but for the United Arab Emirates as a whole.

As Global Head of Engineering, you will:
- Envision the future of the industry and create new products and strategies to bring this vision to life
- Understand the big picture of IP development to advance Pegasus and the region to what's next in Big Data
- Build, lead, and mentor the engineering team to deliver high-quality, secure products and solutions
- Use your deep understanding of how to build great products to create the technical vision, roadmap and strategy for implementation of new advancements, projects and product lines

In the last twelve months we have seen our ranks swell from 70 to over 180 working out of five offices across three continents. We work very closely with our clients who range from intelligence agencies, military, law-enforcement agencies and other critical utilities for the functioning of governments and states.

We are building an organisation of specialists to provide the ultimate big data, analytics and information management platform. Whatever the scope, data scale or sensitivity of our clients' work we will leverage our platform to build new capabilities and workflows as well as provide professional services on how to best leverage our offerings to serve our clients mission.

About the Job

You will be responsible for creating the technical vision, technology roadmap and plans for implementation of new technical advancements, projects or product lines.

You will build and lead the engineering team, mentoring engineering leads to deliver high quality big data analytics products and technical solutions. All the time ensuring that your Engineering team is comprised of world class resources capable of giving significant competitive advantage over our competitors.

You will oversee the transition from product strategy to implementation: from roadmap to product build and release.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a thought leader with a deep understanding of what it required to build great big data, analytics and information management products and a personal willingness to roll up their sleeves and pitch in with the engineering team. You will combine excellent business acumen and technical skills, and have a deep grasp of building competitive advantage through collaboration, teamwork and customer obsession.

You will require excellent planning and organizational skills, interpersonal communication and collaborative skills and must be a critical thinker with superior initiative, problem-solving and analytical skills. Adept at multi-tasking you must have the ability to manage multiple projects under deadline to meet corporate objectives.

You will have the opportunity to work in an environment that prizes innovation and is looking to disrupt the existing ecosystem wherever possible.

Essential requirements:

- 15 years of experience in software engineering
- 10+ years of experience in leading diverse engineering teams
- Experience in building engineering teams and practices from the bottom up
- Experience in overseeing the development of multiple products that should include large-scale, enterprise-grade big data, analytics and information management products
- A solid track record of delivering world class products
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- A motivating executive capable of instilling excitement and inspiring others
- Ability to set clear and deliverable goals.
- Demonstrates tenacity, commitment to deliver and be accountable for results
