Overview:

An exciting opportunity exists to spearhead the growth and expansion of a privately held insurance broking company with over 500 employees and 30,000 clients. A solid background in insurance and agency functions and a deep understanding of critical success factors in the industry is required, with a proven inspirational business and people leadership background in hands-on management and development of diverse teams.

Area of operations and positions overseen by the individual:

The Global Head of Sales (GHS) you will be responsible for the direction and management of the sales operation and new business development; to design, lead and deliver a region wide business development plan with vision and clarity. The GHS also manages support functions essential to sales force productivity. Evaluate current Sales Teams performance and explore opportunities for how we can maximise their business and identify opportunities for value-add benefit to create differentiated offerings in the market whilst leveraging our existing client base to identify clients and referral partners. Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the Sales Force and develops budgets, policies and procedures to support the sales function. Ensure the Sales Team and Support Team goes above and beyond to deliver an exceptional experience with Nexus.

Responsibilities:

Produce accurate Sales Reports on productivity, competition activity and market trends using market intelligence to escalate the penetration of general insurance products and increase the proportion of client funds under the management of the company’s “Preferred Partners’’. Take remedial action, where appropriate, to ensure the ongoing financial viability and compliant operation of the Group whilst assisting in leading and directing all functions towards objectives. Work closely with the CEO to provide timely market intel and potential marketing efforts or opportunities to grow and expand our client base and market share and provide accurate and aggressive sales forecasting in order to meet company expectations and performance levels. Conduct / Review any support Administrative tasks and Compliance duties necessary to the operation, ensuring employees and other resources are deployed. Efficiently. Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Work closely with Sales Management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Manage sales promotional budgets & incentive programs and strategy in conjunction with the Marketing Director & CEO. Flawlessly represent Nexus with Regulators, media, government bodies, stakeholders, business partners and clients as a senior member of our Management Team. Work closely and oversee the HR and Training & Development functions to recruit and retain talented people whose personal values align with ours; to develop and deliver a full program of T&D to all employees to empower them to bring the right solutions to market and meet client expectations and personal development needs. Lead, manage, motivate employees; foster a team culture, build a high performance organisation through inspirational leadership. Ability to mitigate risk, work with the Compliance Team to resolve any client issues as needed to resolve matters and provide an excellent client experience whilst adhering to the highest ethical standards and ensure that all sales activity is within the correct legal requirements and best working practices to mitigate risk to the company. At the request of the Chief Executive Officer undertake special projects as and when required

Reporting to:
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Education:
Degree holder (Essential) Chartered Insurance Institute Level 4 or Professional. Qualification (e.g. UK Diploma) or equivalent (Essential)

Knowledge:
Detailed knowledge of life insurance and direct sales distribution. Knowledge of insurance practices & the local insurance environment preferably with experience of the Middle East. Understanding of General Insurance and Employee Benefits. Proven experience managing a large team. Experience in Agency/Sales management at a senior level preferably in a direct sales force environment in the Financial Services industry (Essential). Financial Services, especially investments and money markets (Essential).
