Guildhall is a leading headhunting firm specializing in sourcing top talent for prestigious organizations around the world. We are currently working with a major international Oil and Gas EPC company to recruit a highly skilled Global Purchasing Manager for their multibillion-dollar project based in Sharjah, UAE.
Job Description:
As the Global Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a significant Oil and Gas project. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and purchasing activities on a global scale. This includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain and drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support project objectives and timelines.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct thorough market research, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and performance expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast project requirements and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Monitor market trends, anticipate potential supply chain risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate disruptions.
- Lead the purchasing team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Salary:
AED
18,000 to 20,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement and purchasing, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry or related EPC projects.
- Demonstrated experience in global sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of international procurement regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead a team, foster collaboration, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software is highly desirable
- Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not essential.
