The role

The Governance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in advancing the decentralisation of 1inch DAO through effective governance operations, documentation management, and stakeholder coordination. This position bridges technical and community aspects of DAO governance while ensuring operational excellence and transparency.

Key responsibilities

As Governance Operations Manager at 1inch, you will drive the design and execution of decentralised governance systems, ensuring operational transparency, stakeholder engagement, and strategic alignment with protocol objectives. This role blends technical oversight with community coordination, empowering the DAO through robust tooling, data-driven decision-making, and risk-aware governance practices. The key responsibilities and day-to-day duties of the role include the following:

Governance process design & management

• Design and implement governance operational processes to enhance DAO efficiency and decentralisation
• Drive continuous improvement of governance workflows and procedures
• Coordinate with delegates, core contributors, and community members
• Develop and maintain governance-related documentation and knowledge bases
• Oversee governance tooling and integration initiatives

Proposal management

• Manage full lifecycle of proposals from submission to implementation
• Assist community members through proposal approval stages
• Coordinate proposal reviews with DAO working groups
• Track implementation status and milestones
• Maintain up-to-date records on proposal outcomes

Grant program operations

• Oversee grant proposal submissions and reviews
• Coordinate technical reviews with the core team
• Track grant milestones and monitor deliverables
• Update and maintain grant documentation
• Ensure timely reporting and follow-up

Stakeholder engagement

• Support delegate and contributor communication
• Facilitate cross-team feedback on governance initiatives
• Organise and support weekly governance calls
• Maintain governance communication channels
• Ensure alignment between DAO stakeholders

DAO community engagement

• Organise regular governance/community calls
• Suggest and launch initiatives to increase DAO participation
• Promote transparency and inclusivity in governance processes
• Encourage contributor involvement in proposal creation
• Collect feedback to shape future governance improvements

What you'll need

Experience

• Proven track record in operations or project management
• Experience with technical documentation platforms (Docusaurus preferred)
• Experience with collaboration tools (Github, project management software)
