Government Relations Officer - UAE National

Job description / Role

The main purpose of the job is to handle government related transactions particularly visa processing and license renewals within the JAFZA area. The job exists to process new visas / renewals / amendments / cancellations, retrieve documents from JAFZA e.g. passports / labour cards / etc., coordinate license renewals, aid staff in securing National ID cards and perform other government related tasks as instructed. The job contributes towards ensuring that the company fully complies with all the legal requirements of the UAE thus ensuring continuous business.

• Complete all visa-related transactions with JAFZA i.e. new visa, renewals, amendments, cancellations
• Ensure that submitted and requested documents are retrieved based on agreed time frames
• Assist in coordinating various government-related matters
• Managing company sponsored visa/work permits/cancellation processes Admin /Documentation
• Perform delegated ad hoc tasks in a timely manner
• Renew various licenses with Dubai Government and Free zone Authorities (Dubai Economic Development office, chamber of commerce, JAFZA, DAFZA DWC etc.).
• Assist employees in getting National ID Cards

• High School / Graduate/University degree
• UAE Driver’s License
• Knowledgeable of UAE and JAFZA rules and procedures
• Good English communication skills; Excellent verbal and written Arabic skills
• Computer (IT) Aptitude
• Proficient in MS Office applications
