  • Responsibilities

    To begin a career in technical safety engineering by supporting the safety team in ensuring the safe design and operation of facilities. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in safety assessments, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments under supervision.
  • Support the development of safety documentation, including safety philosophies, fire protection strategies, and emergency response plans.
  • Participate in design reviews and learn to identify safety-critical elements.
  • Learn and model process safety essentials in engineering software (PHAST, Pipenet, etc.).
  • Help ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand how safety integrates into design and operations.
  • Engage in training and development activities to build technical safety knowledge.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, safety, or environmental engineering.
  • Strong academic performance and interest in safety engineering.
  • Final year project or internship related to safety or risk management is a plus.
