Graphic Designer (Freelance / Contract)

Job description / Role

• Includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos.
• You will be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more.
• Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
• For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
• If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we would like to meet you.
• Study design briefs and determine requirements.
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
• Test graphics across various media. Amend designs after feedback.

Requirements

EDUCATION:
• Degree Holder from Accredited, Educational Institution, College or University, Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

EXPERIENCE:
• Prior Experience: Two (2) years, preferably including working experience in GCC, preferably currently in the UAE

COMPETENCIES:
• Proven graphic designing experience. A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics (print and digital)
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• Print & Web Design, Digital Graphics, Animations, Video and Photo Editing knowledge
• Creative for websites, web pages, product graphics (including art direction of photography), email promotional creative, email templates, social media graphics, and banner ads
• Excellent digital design, graphic and typographic skills
• Good knowledge of the html process, Proven ability to convert design to html
