Job description / Role
We are looking for a Grounds & Estate technician who will responsible for carrying out all works as instructed in accordance with instructions, PPM and supporting procedures in a safe and efficient manner, to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors to our Hospital core business.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Under supervision and assisted as required, Grounds & Gardens Assistant’s shall conduct assigned work related to soft and hard landscape across the Garden & Grounds of the entire Estate; including cutting, trimming and pruning of grass, trees, bushes and plants.
• Be fully aware of all Garden and Landscape related matters of the Hospital including the safe utilization and correct operation of motorized and hand equipment or vehicles in the execution of the services.
• Undertake garden and landscape maintenance, repair, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates for the upkeep and replacement including irrigation and fertilization of grass, trees, plants and bushes
• To maintain the cleanliness and removal of litter from within the estate and sweeping of roadways, paths and walkways, to include the underground parking facilities
• To maintain features, including water pools, cascades and ponds and other static features including sculptures, placards, signage and other wayfinding notices, including temporary barriers or diversion indicators for road and traffic management.
• Assist with the execution of gathering samples for the testing of soil and water quality and other data or assignments as required or requested by the Facility Manager in the management of the estate.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3 years experience with knowledge in landscape architecture or maintenance being a distinct advantage.
EDUCATION REQIREMENTS
• Notable school achievement and certificates or other related professional achievement being necessary.
