Play Your Part

In this position you are responsible to provides landscaping support but not limited to, general plant / tree maintenance duties including applying water and fertilizers, maintaining the landscape design, removing weeds and dead plants, and supervising repairs of equipment.

Main Duties

- Managing the day-to-day requirements of the landscaping operations team.
- Ensure Optimal utilization of resources and team members where schedules are planned and executed in line with the business need.
- Allocate the ground team in line with the Landscape maintenance PPM Plan and/or ad hoc landscape maintenance tasks.
- Delegating maintenance tasks to the ground team, monitor work progress of the assigned tasks ensuring it is delivered to the expected standards.
- Ensuring that the team has all the maintenance equipment and tools required to execute landscaping works and equipment is maintained as per the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Ensure the performance of the team is managed in line with the role expectations and Individual/Department KPI's are achieved.
- Responsible for maintaining all weekly reporting requirement for works assigned by the Department head.
- Maintains and always promotes safe Horticulture work practices in the park. Ensures the team is always wearing and maintaining the required PPE while at work.
- Ensure the Irrigation Schedule operates as programmed. Keep Line Manager informed of any irrigation issues/maintenance works and coordinate rectification.
- Ensures that landscaping maintenance checklists, Trackers, SISO's are up-to-date.
- Coordinate with External vendors for tree replacements ensuring that the job is carried out in line with the approved method statement.
- Coordinate for purchase of Landscaping maintenance equipment, supplies, fertilizers and accessories when required.
- Schedule and supervise pesticide, herbicide, fertilizer and other related chemical applications for the growth/longevity of the landscapes.
- Perform tasks in a safe manner and report unsafe activity and conditions to the Line Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team.

Requirements

In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:

Essential

- Good communication skills.
- Proven leader that works well in a fast paced, hourly goal driven environment.
- Background in landscaping and upkeep management.
- Good experience or working knowledge of use of Landscaping machinery to be used at the work place.
- Positive attitude.
- Adapts well to a changing work environment.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UAE in landscaping or horticultural work required.
- Would have worked in a Supervisor/Foreman position for at least 2 years Supervising a team.

Desirable

- UAE driving license preferred.
- Work Week- flexible work week to match operating hours.
- Available for overtime work as schedule requires.
- Available for extended and fluctuating work hours per operational demands.
