The Company

Our client is a truly global player in their field. Due to an internal restructure our client is looking to recruit a Group Credit Control Manager who will be responsible for the Middle East & Africa region.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Group Chief Financial Officer your role will be to establish Credit Control management and credit policy. Manage and lead cross-functional credit collections team and maximize client collections and minimize bad debts. Report accounts receivable aging and KPIs and govern risk management process across BU's

Key Responsibilities

* Create and maintain governance framework to ensure credit control and collection policies are adhered to
* Establish policies, procedures, and appropriate structure to manage credit control and cash collections
* Establish credit policy for pre-approval of credit limits for customers
* Develop process to identify clients that default on payment terms and liaise with Legal/Finance/Operations management to develop standard course of action and escalation process
* Develop accounts receivable aging reports
* Develop Credit Collections dashboard (i.e., accounts receivable balance, bad debt provision and days receivables outstanding)
* Prepare Accounts Receivable and Credit Collection Executive Committee monthly review package
* Lead the credit collection process with defined process and collection targets
* Build relationships with country leads and finance managers to define credit collection escalation process
* Day to day management of credit collection process between Finance/Operations/ BSC (Business Service Center)
* Monitor adhered to credit policy and extension of credit terms
* Work with Operations to improve billing & invoicing cycle
* Develop and monitor accounts receivable collections and fast resolution of issues
* Resolution of aged receivables to minimize bad debts
* Build the recruitment team, optimising talents and growing individuals
* Manage the performance of the team
* Develop and maintain teamwork among all HR teams promoting the sharing of ideas and best practice
* Report non-compliance cases and initiate actions as per 'Managing Capability and Discipline Concerns Policy'

Requirements

The Candidate

* Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance;
* Master's degree in accounting and/or finance preferred;
* Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant preferred
* Demonstrated understanding of Control Frameworks, Business, IFRS, Risk Management
* Knowledge of Internal Audit Best Practices, IFRS, IIA standards and IAS
* Strong interpersonal skills to work sensitively within a multicultural environment
* The ability to multi-task in a fast -paced accounting environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
* Excellent organizational skills
* Working knowledge in ERP Applications (Oracle, SAP, SAGE).

Salary and Benefits

Up to 42,000aed per month plus Education
