Group Finance Manager

Job description / Role

We are searching for a Group Finance Manager for our client, a local group in Dubai. The position has a dual reporting line – to the Emirati CEO and GM of the business.

Salary: AED 35k

This is a hands-on role, where you would be expected to roll up your sleeves, assist in developing the finance team of 13 employees, and working with an open door policy.

Responsibilities
• Act as a strategic advisor to the Management on all financial aspects.
• Define the finance strategy in line with the organization’s overall strategy and mission and ensure that the Finance function is positioned as a key service provider and partner to the business.
• Consolidation of the annual and long-term capital, operating and revenue budgets and business plans
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts
• Review and report budget performance against set KPI`s.
• Ensure that the profits of the organization are protected through the establishment of effective budgetary controls and expenditure procedures.
• Ensure compliance with necessary regulatory frameworks, and maintain tight financial controls throughout the business.
• Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures
• Monitor and control the banking activities of the organization. Explore potential opportunities to reduce financial cost, explore and renew banking facilities
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard assets. Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented properly to systematize processes
• Lead and manage the Finance and Accounting teams. Coach, develop and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience in the construction or Oil/gas industries.
• Must be able to demonstrate having hands-on experience in accounting
• Consolidations experience
• Project Accounting experience
• Professionally qualified (CMA/CA/ ACCA/CPA/ MBA - Finance)
• 5 years experience in a Finance Manager or Controller level role
• Min 10 years in a commercial business in the finance dept
• Strong ERP experience
