Our client is a mid-sized, rapidly growing US Technology Corporation seeking an experienced hands on Group Financial Controller to administer the firm’s global department outside of the Americas as the company develops and strategizes long term growth plans. The Candidate will be directly reporting to the Group CFO and will be in charge of regional finances and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. The main responsibilities will include providing constructive financial and operational reporting as well as management information. The candidate will prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements, will be involved in budgeting and forecasting as well as ad hoc variance analysis.

Responsibilities would include:
- Leading monthly accounting and forecasting processes by managing the compilation of financial results for a mid-sized private equity owned business, understanding drivers of change within the financial results, presenting to leadership and maintaining corporate deliverables and deadlines
- Driving profitable revenue growth through insightful and proactive analysis of sales opportunities, risks / contingencies and through insightful reporting and analysis of revenue results
- Overseeing and developing annual and seasonal sales, margin, inventory and high-level expense plans, partnering across functions to ensure alignment of those plans with all departments
- Preparing presentations and supporting exhibits for monthly leadership team reviews
- Acting as primary liaison to the CEO and CFO to understand their needs and supporting ad hoc analyses and requests
- Preparing the P&L forecast for the business, analysing trends and challenging assumptions
- Developing and implementing inventory procurement processes, controls and trend analyses
- Setting up a system to monitor and review replenishment inventory, including understanding weekly / monthly sales trends and proper purchase timeframes to ensure proper inventory levels
- Engaging in the strategic planning process, evaluating current and future strategic initiatives
- Developing key performance metrics and implementing controls to ensure divisions achieve their financial and operational goals including improved profitability, customer profitability, sales margin analysis, cash flow, samples expense and inventory management
- Leading a successful annual budgeting process by compiling and presenting financial model, budget submission processes and maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Presenting the P&L monthly reports to leadership, highlighting financial performance and risk / opportunity

Requirements

- Bachelors in Accounting, CPA preferred
- 7 to 9 years of professional experience in finance, with experience operating in a Manufacturing or FMCG environment advantageous
- Self-starter attitude, with understanding and knowledge of COGS / BOM
- Self-starter that is detail-oriented and passionate about the media industry
- Extensive accounting and analysis experience - Preferably within a Consumer Products organisation exposed to inventory
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, federal and state tax and financial regulations
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
