Group IT Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, an international oil and gas company in the UAE is currently looking for a Group IT Manager. Reporting to the CEO, you will have the following responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

• Running the IT department across UAE.
• Developed the complete IT system of the group starting from LAN setup, AD DC setting, VPN setup, email access, back up solutions both cloud and local. Virtualization of servers for maximum efficiency with a cost controlled set up.
• Developed the local ERP setup with contractors and added an SQL setup for implementation.
• Should have knowledge and experience in purchasing of both hardware and software for the entire organization.
• Should leverage business experience, technical knowledge and analytical skills to achieve objectives and articulate a future vision of the company.
• Should enable to enhance the IT Network Security and infrastructure as the company expands in different business areas.
• Should be well versed with market research to use proper product for the company.
• Managed and built an entire IT team to select and implement a new ERP system
• Manage system upgrades, resolve all IT related issues in a timely manner, and ensure any software / hardware / network and other IT components are purchased whenever needed.
• Ensures IT support services maintain SLA's and system up-time. Provides direction on new systems to be implemented and development of custom software systems for production and project budget tracking.
• Should be able to Analyze, troubleshooting, and investigating security-related, information systems anomalies based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files, host-based and automated security alerts.
• Dropping the corporate infrastructure vulnerabilities, by 80 % after implementing a successful remediation plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent is required.
• MBA or equivalent is preferable.
• 10-15 years experience needed of which minimum 5 years should have been in oil, gas or related industries.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Communication skills: High level of proficiency in report writing.
