Guest Services Officer - Reservations

Summary

You will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's corporate strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. The Guest Services Officer - Reservations is responsible for assisting the Assistant Manager - Reservations in managing the Reservations Department and working closely with Marketing and Sales and other relevant Rooms Departments.

- To relieve and assist the supervisor when required.
- To maintain up-to-date accurate reservation records, including a record of advance reservation.
- Continually strive to keep the Suites and Regency Club Rooms' room rates above the forecast.
- To enter and process reservations and confirmations for both the hotel and sister hotels.
- To maintain an accurate filing system.
- To maintain a Group File and prepare the Group List.
- To prepare a daily V.I.P and Special Attention List.
- To prepare the daily arrival list and check with the computer.
- To prepare the registration card for the next day's arrivals.
- To provide accurate information about all Hyatt International Hotels, their services, and facilities.
- To update the "Free Sale Report" of other Hyatt Hotels.
- To maintain and update the Guest History Records.

- Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in hospitality or tourism management.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in hotel operations.
- Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must.

About the Company

Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
