Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and talented gym attendant to join our team in the hotel industry in the UAE. The gym attendant will be responsible for the following key job responsibilities:

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: Greet members warmly, answer inquiries, and assist with equipment use or gym policies.
• Equipment maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and inspect fitness machines, weights, and accessories to ensure proper function and safety.
• Safety monitoring: Observe the gym floor for unsafe behavior or accidents, responding promptly and appropriately when needed.
• Facility upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the gym area.
• Membership support: Assist new members with orientation, provide basic fitness guidance, and promote a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Friendly and approachable personality
• Knowledge of fitness equipment
• Basic first aid or CPR certification (often required)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Must be well presented and professionally groomed at all times
• Good communication and customer contact skills; good problem resolution skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
