Gym Technician

Job description / Role

We are looking for a hard-working and experienced individuals to join our team to work in one of our upcoming gym/beach club locations based in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing fitness equipment, as well as the general maintenance of the facility. They ensure safety within the club by promptly repairing non-functional equipment and conducting preventative maintenance on all equipment. They also coordinate and communicate general repairs and facility maintenance with club management.

Responsibilities + Duties
• Ensures proper operation of all club areas by monitoring all areas of the facility to ensure a safe and quality environment for all members and users.
• Monitor heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems and work with Building Facility Maintenance to rectify issues.
• Ensure Fitness Center building is left in a safe and secure condition when not in operation.
• Works closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to discuss club maintenance needs and repairs, conducts a daily walk-through and maintains a Maintenance Log.
• Maintains the history file on all equipment.
• Procure repair parts, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Performs monthly OSHA safety checks as required on the OSHA / PM guidelines
• Maintains a log of Preventative Maintenance.
• Performs monthly fire extinguisher checks.
• Notify Manager and or Building Facility Maintenance of needed repairs to facility.
• Performs building inspections to ensure building safety and security.
• Monitor and record levels of pool and spa chemicals to ensure water quality, and maintain pool and chemical supply inventory.
• Ensures equipment on the fitness floor is operating safely and properly.
• Updates records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
• maintenance of electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing and overall general building maintenance tasks.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Updates purchase orders, orders parts for repairs, and establishes timeframes for part delivery.
• Tracks capital expenditures and repair expenses.

Requirements

Requirements
Experience and knowledge of the following;
• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Basic AC Knowledge
• Some experience fixing/setting up gym equipment

• Able to take direction
