Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include but be unlimited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

What hours you will work:
You will work six days a week, approximately 8-9 hours a day, divided in three parts. (Start10:00-12:30, 15:00-17:00 20:30-00:00). In the beginning of the season you will need to give extra time to rehearse for the evening shows. Your working hours will be given by your Team Leader or Hotel Manager.

Daytime Activities:
During the day you will be responsible in organising and delivering fun activities such as water polo, French boules, volleyball, darts, pool competitions, football, Family fun afternoons and lots more. Your outgoing personality will encourage the guests to join in with the daytime fun and also want them to come and enjoy your evening entertainment.

Requirements

Kid’s Club:
Some of our Hotels do have Kids Club and you may be asked to run activities in the club for the Children. There are special sessions you will run such as Under the Sea, Jungle safari, Pirate Day, Cowboy’s & Indian’s, Olympic day and many many more. Your Kids Club sessions will include games and craft activities

Evening Programme:
Every evening starts with mini disco for the children; you will join in the party dances and host games for the Children using a microphone. Mini Disco in some of our Hotels is followed by a game of Bingo. The Main event for the evening is a game night or a cabaret show organised by the entertainment team, you will be required to either DJ, host with a microphone or be responsible for the organisation of the show. Some nights you may also have an outside act come in to entertain the guests.

PR:
This is one of the most important aspects of being a good entertainer. PR means to talk to the guests, inform them about your program and become friends with them. All it needs is good communication skills. After every evening show, the entertainer is expected to PR, ask what they thought about the show etc. During daytime activities the entertainer should PR and promote the evening show. Also, in some cases the theme nights of the hotel.
