Job Description

• To carry out repairs and maintenance within the confines of the accommodation such as furniture, equipment, piping, polishing works, swimming pool, electrical, walls, floors, or any other items as directed.
• Assist the Accommodation Supervisor with any room move.
• To perform minor repairs to wall plaster and renderings, cracks required in preparation for the paint job.
• To perform paintwork on interior and exterior building walls.
• To assist in the preparation of check-in and check-out including cleaning of the premises when required.
• To assist the Accommodation Supervisor with various follow-up and inspections.
• To support the Accommodation Supervisor with his responsibilities in assisting the employees of Sofitel Dubai The Palm.
• To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
• To assist the accommodation team with various duties.
• To supervise the casual cleaner in the absence of the Supervisor.
• To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
• At least 2 years' experience in maintenance and repair, construction or similar work.
• Knowledge of construction, plumbing and electrical.
