Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Operate the vehicle according to local standard driving codes, regulations and speed limits.
• Ensure that the vehicle is in good functioning condition prior to mobilization i.e.: check engine oil, brakes, tires, fuel and water level, warning lights, horn and all necessary functioning item of the vehicle.
• Take instructions from their Line Manager with regard to their daily assignment.
• Deliver supplies, samples to and from one location as instructed.
• Purchase and deliver spare parts as requested.
• Take the crew to the site as required.
• Follow all journeys as laid out by the Line Manager as per the Journey Management Plan.
• Fugro drivers to ensure they follow their duties as laid out within Fugro Golden Rules of Safety and the Fugro GCC Driving safely policy.

Additional Duties
• Undertake additional related responsibility from other department in coordination with their Line Manager.
• Every Fugro driver will complete a defensive driver course at least once every three (3) years, passing of this course is prerequisite of employment.

Requirements

• Secondary school certificate
• Holder of valid GCC HDV Driving License.
• 2 year experience in similar role in the UAE.

Competencies:
•Good communication skills - written and spoken English.
•Knowledge of local road and areas where they will be assigned.
•All drivers are to be in a good physical condition and be medically fit, assessment to be taken before commencement of employment.
