Apt Resources is looking for an experienced head chef specializing in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine to serve an ultra-high-net-worth family (UHNWF). The ideal candidate will have a solid culinary background in these cuisines, paired with excellent leadership abilities and a passion for creating exquisite, healthy meals. This role requires a high level of creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to provide exceptional dining experiences within a private, luxurious household setting.

As the head chef, you will lead the kitchen team and be responsible for menu creation, food preparation, and overall kitchen management. This position requires both culinary expertise and leadership skills to foster a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality meals with a focus on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Design and update menus based on dietary preferences, seasonal availability, and family preferences.
• Maintain the highest standards of food presentation, flavor, and nutrition.
• Collaborate with the household’s nutritionist or medical team to create healthy and balanced meal plans as needed.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, preparation, and cooking.
• Oversee inventory, sourcing, and purchasing of the finest ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and impeccably clean kitchen.
• Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into meal preparation.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure the kitchen operates according to health and safety standards.
• Occasionally cater for family events and gatherings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a head chef, specifically in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
• Proven experience in a private household or luxury hospitality setting is preferred.
• Extensive culinary knowledge with a proven ability to deliver outstanding dishes.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Exceptional knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and communicate effectively.
• Creative flair with a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
• A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Must be currently available in UAE.
• Willing to undergo trial.
