AHS, a top-tier luxury real estate development company, is seeking a highly skilled Head of Draftsman to lead our drafting team. In this essential role, you will oversee all drafting activities, ensuring that technical drawings and designs reflect the highest standards of quality, precision, and efficiency. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to transform conceptual designs into detailed construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the drafting team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development
• Oversee the preparation and production of high-quality construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to review design concepts and translate them into detailed drawings
• Establish and enforce drafting standards and best practices to maintain consistency and accuracy in all documentation
• Coordinate with various departments during the design and construction phases to facilitate smooth communication and workflow
• Review and validate plans and drawings for compliance with building codes, regulations, and project requirements
• Stay informed of the latest drafting technologies, software, and industry trends to continuously improve processes and output quality
• Support project managers in meeting deadlines and deliverables, ensuring all drafting tasks are completed on schedule

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in drafting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Extensive knowledge of drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and its applications in architecture and engineering
• Proven ability to manage teams and effectively delegate tasks
• Strong understanding of construction documents, building codes, and industry standards
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with BIM and other emerging drafting technologies is a plus
