Head of Applications

Job description / Role

Flow is working with a leading technology company who are hiring a Head of Applications to be based in Abu Dhabi .

Key aspects of the role include:
- Develop and implement strategic plans as per business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with key clients and vendors.
- Act as point of contract between the company and key vendors, carry out deal registrations and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Onboard new technologies and solutions that enrich the company's portfolio.
- Work closely with the Bid Manager and other departments to build a competitive end-to-end proposal meeting the client's budget and requirements.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team.

- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent. An MBA is a plus.
- PMP or Prince2 certification is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Technology industry .
- Experience with Cloud platforms (SQL, data warehousing, business intelligence tools).
- Experience with Data management analytics (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with Software development lifecycle (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps Methodologies).
- Solid understanding of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, BI, and other major application suites.
- Good knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Phyton, or C#.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and automation
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
