Head of Buying (Consumer Goods)

Job description / Role

We are currently working with a rapid-growing company and they are currently looking to hire a Head of Buying to join their team. Your main role is to lead the purchasing activities across the Consumer Goods industry and drive sales growth and reach optimum profit.

Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with Sales Department to forecast timely sales and budget;
• Work closely with thee Marketing Team to develop innovative and effective marketing strategies;
• Manage the overall store restock process;
• Determine market trends, customer demands, and competitor strategies to find more profitable opportunities;
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers;
• Keep good relationship with existing and new suppliers;
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Requirements

• More than 5 years of progressive experience in Purchasing and Sourcing with extensive experience in the Retail industry for Confectionery, drinks etc.;
• Exceptional vendor and supplier management;
• High level of commercial awareness, excellent numerical and analytical skills;
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, Arabic is preferred but not essential;
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or any related field
