Head of Buying

Job description / Role

Our client is currently Recruiting for the position of "Head Of Buying " his duties will include, but not limited to the following:

- Meeting, managing, assessing, engaging and motivating suppliers.
- Developing and proposing exciting, relevant and evolving themes and products
- Follow market trends to refresh, maintain and increase customer interest and engagement with product range
- Identify, assess and monitor additional information/data which could be used in decision making
- Plan, prepare and carry out BDA negotiations
- Prepare presentations for both internal and external use, taking into account market information, product performance and commercial considerations
- Manage, develop and motivate a group of buyers and purchase officers.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:
- Supermarket Buying experience.
- Effective leadership, motivation and people management
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to plan ahead to meet deadlines with a high level of personal organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge in various categories in supermarket (fresh food, food and none foods)
