Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As the Head of Compliance Operations, you will oversee implementation of regulatory policy framework and operational programs and oversee the process and procedural enhancement for all compliance functions relating to DMCC Free Zone and DMCC Commodities, Financial Services and other core businesses. You will be responsible for the implementation and improvement of regulatory and operational programs, systems and processes to ensure DMCCA achieves and maintains status as the global leader in free zone regulation.

Some of the key responsibilities are:
• Implementing and improving regulatory and operational programs, systems and processes to ensure DMCCA achieves and maintains status as the global leader in free zone regulation
• Ensuring identification, implementation and updating of end-to-end processes and operating procedures for effective compliance operations for DMCC Free Zone and DMCC Commodities, Financial Services and other businesses, in particular ensuring changes to Compliance policy framework (AML/CFT, risk methodology etc) are implemented into programs and procedures
• Updating and maintaining process for effective company set-up including review of mandatory requirements, re-design of process and development of internal practice notes for use by compliance team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business management / commerce preferred
• Compliance and risk certifications mandatory
• Compliance, Risk Management, Anti Money Laundering and Combating of Financial Terrorism (AML/CFT)
• More than 15 years of experience.
• Familiarity with UAE laws, customs and practices (knowledge of multiple jurisdictions beneficial)
• AML / CFT and applicable international sanction regimes
• FATCA, CRS and other emerging trends
• Knowledge of international developments and their applicability
