Head of Corporate Governance

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a high profile financial institution who is looking to hire a Head of Corporate Governance to play the lead role in relation to implementing, maintaining and developing a leading governance structure. The role will be based at the Abu Dhabi headquarters.

The role would be to work closely with the Group General Counsel, governance / legal team and broader business in relation to overseeing an effective governance framework. You will manage an existing governance team in the UAE and elsewhere in the banks international network.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be a Corporate Governance specialist with c. 15 years + experience operating at a senior level within the financial services sector. The successful candidate should have experience relating to the board and executive level committees, involving advisory and consultative work. Experience at a bank or other financial institution in the UAE or high calibre candidates interested in relocating from the UK, Australia etc. are invited to apply. Competitive tax free remuneration and bonus available. Arabic language skills are not required.
