Corporate Lending - Europe, the Middle East and Asia: The team responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of corporate loan transactions for corporate and financial institutions across the regions.

About the job:

The candidate will join BBVA's Corporate Lending - Europe, the Middle East and Asia team, responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of corporate loan transactions for corporate and financial institutions across the regions.

This position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a primary focus on leading BBVA's Corporate Lending activity across the Middle East region, acting as the key regional representative for the CL platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of a broad range of corporate loan products, including syndicated loans, club and bilateral loans, sustainable finance structures and event-driven financings.
• Develop and deepen relationships with strategic clients and prospects to identify new financing opportunities and support BBVA's relationship-driven approach.
• Structure tailored financing solutions in alignment with client needs.
• Prepare market materials (e.g., pitch books, proposals) to support mandate origination.
• Negotiate commercial terms, covenants, and security packages.
• Prepare and present proposals to business and credit committees for internal approvals.
• Draft and/or review loan documentation (e.g., term sheets, facility agreements, mandate letters) and syndication materials (e.g., invite letters, info memoranda and bank meeting decks).
• Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., client coverage, loan syndicate & sales, risk, legal, compliance, tax, sustainable finance, markets, operations) and external parties (e.g., clients, banks, legal counsel) to ensure smooth and timely execution.
