Head of Data / Analytics Growth

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

* Define and lead the data and analytics strategy to drive business growth across key functions, including product, marketing, customer retention, and business development.
* Ensure data analytics efforts align with organizational objectives to enhance performance and growth.
* Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the company.

2. Team Management:

* Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing data and analytics team, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
* Encourage cross-functional collaboration to integrate data insights into product development, marketing, and operational strategies.
* Oversee team hiring, training, and career development to build analytical expertise and capabilities.

3. Data Infrastructure & Systems:

* Manage the development, maintenance, and optimization of data systems, pipelines, and analytics platforms for efficient data collection, processing, and reporting.
* Partner with IT and engineering teams to enhance data architecture, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.

4. Analytics & Insights:

* Utilize data analytics to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable strategies to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
* Lead advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, A/B testing, and statistical analysis, to optimize business performance.
* Deliver regular reports and insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders across all levels.

5. Growth Optimization:

* Leverage data insights to refine customer journeys, optimize product features, and enhance marketing channels to drive engagement and revenue.
* Identify, track, and report on growth metrics such as conversion rates, customer behavior, and lifetime value.
* Implement a continuous experimentation approach to improve efficiency and business results.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

* Partner with product and marketing teams to define success metrics, KPIs, and evaluation criteria for growth experiments.
* Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership to inform business decisions.
* Ensure seamless communication between data teams and other departments to achieve business goals.

7. Data Governance & Compliance:

* Uphold data governance policies and maintain strict privacy and security standards across all data processes.
* Stay informed on industry regulations regarding data privacy and ensure compliance in all data operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in data analytics, growth, or marketing analytics roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
* Strong experience leading data-driven growth initiatives, preferably in a high-growth tech or eCommerce company.
* Proven track record of using data to drive measurable business results

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with growth hacking strategies and customer acquisition analytics.
* Familiarity with machine learning models, data science, and AI techniques.
* Experience with tools like Looker, Snowflake, or similar advanced analytics platforms.
