About The Role:
We are looking for an outstanding technical individual who can lead and drive the technical direction and strategy of our data platform. As the Head of Big Data Platform, you will be responsible for the design, building, delivery and supporting components of the platform.
The ideal candidate has a passion for building data integration products/platform and loves solving data integration problems at scale. You'll be expected to have both deep technical skills in data architecture, big data as well as leadership and organization skills.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Software delivery experience with 5+ years in implementing Big data solutions.
- Strong execution skills in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies.
- Capability to run and support mission critical customer facing platforms and applications.
- Strategic thinker / architect with proven ability to build and manage scalable big data systems
- 2+ years of experience in developing Big data applications in Cloud (pref AWS)
- Deep familiarity with Big Data infrastructure technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Presto.
- Proven track record with handling large data sets (multiple TBs) and working with structured, unstructured and geographical datasets.
- Skilled at managing cross-functional relationships and communicating with leadership across multiple teams.
