Job description / Role
The Data Scientist is responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to help senior management making better decision related to lending activities. Their role is also to build algorithms to assess the credit risk of customers.

Description
* Partner with the Product and the strategy team to work on the core consumer loan business
* Cooperate with the product and the technology team in order to shape and form the data science team in the company
* Help drive informed business, product and most importantly credit decisions at the company using the ability to turn data into insights and understanding
* Build a top-notch consumer credit scoring algorithm
* Analyse a problem to gain actionable understanding, to decide recommending a product change, a credit assessment model, an experiment, or other
* Understand the product implications of data and be able to convey uncertainties and caveats with the data
* Build simple pipelines, metrics and dashboards to get to the desired insight and understanding.
* Work with PMs, Credit executive, CxO and other people to help them get a better understanding of the numbers behind what is being assessed

Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, mathematics, applied science or another relevant field.
* 4-6 years of relevant experience working with and building data sets and metrics
* Experience in Neural Network and classification tree is a must
* Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
* Very strong in analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning (Gradient Boosted Decision Trees, Random Forests, etc.)
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information
