Employment: Full Time

A leading British FMCG Events based in the UAE that has grown massively over the last 8 years are currently looking for an Events Manager / Head of Events where you will be required to use your commercial and creative flair, to manage and organise large events in the F&B and FMCG industry here in Dubai. You will develop partnerships and sponsorships as well as ensuring the firm continues to grow and receive further exposure, by making sure this business is at all the relevant events here in the region.

Job Scope:
• Understand events of competitors and markets ensuring this business is the front of the industry
• Build a solid team, encouraging a positive and motivated environment that is consistent
• Deliver a sales pitch of a sponsorship to potential sponsors, where they subscribe, and manage the MOU’s (memorandum of understanding) and agreements.
• Look and implement additional opportunities to manage ‘other’ external events to drive revenue
• Develop and maintain market locations, including relationships with venue management.
• Draft agreements and management fees with venue management, maximising revenue and receive exposure from each agreement
• Expand the Business Model to generate more revenue for the business into new event management opportunities as well as partnership opportunities.
• Work in unity with all other internal departments, ensuring clear communication for new and existing markets. Also, events are given to allow each department to plan accordingly and communicate to meet deadlines
• Use the events as a support platform to all other channels to identify opportunities to grow the business in other areas, from Corporate Customers to new retail products.
• Research and build the market vendor database. Also, build relationships with key market vendors to ensure we are maximizing communication about the markets to as many people as possible
• Maximise sales in events by studying sales and putting important plans in place to grow opportunities.
• Create and implement annual and quarterly strategies to grow the market business, whilst in line with management
• Manage your team, ensuring all HR policies are implemented and followed
• Build strong relationships and negotiate agreements with partners to ensure that value is being offered to both parties
• Attend the business on a regular basis to understand the current situation, and experience them as a customer, also to identify ways on how we can improve, as well as manage any activations and press / media activities
• Ensure the aesthetics of each of the market events at the business are innovative, and add value. Vital to source ideas, costs and then implement these into each market
• Complete monthly management reports, highlighting key achievements, targets and work in progress

Requirements

• Strong background and understanding of FMCG industry and the changing market
• Team player and motivator, manage relationships with sellers – B2B
• Experience working in events
• Always need to meet sales targets
