Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Manage banking relationships and monitoring of cash flows and highlighting any risks of default in payment of principal and/or interest, including penalties on late payments and other dues to creditors, banks, financial institutions.
- Annual business plans and short, medium and long-term forecasts of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow, reflecting the business' strategy.
- Annual budgets, with monthly analysis of variance to budget enable mitigating actions, if necessary
- Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements annual report and accounts
- Ensuring that appropriate accounting policies have been consistently applied in preparation of financial statements, and that accounting estimates are based on reasonable and prudent judgment
- Assist in identifying cost saving initiatives, and procurement team in negotiating with suppliers
- Lead and develop the accounting, payroll, FP&A, treasury, compliance and corporate finance functions
- Lead negotiations and relations with external stakeholders and partners
- Accurate accounting and reporting of monthly closing, year-end closing and collaboration with auditors
- Develop and deliver first class management information for the steering of P&L performance including implementation of a business intelligence platform
- Provide high-quality information and analysis in support of strategic priorities and initiative
- Recruit, train, mentor and develop the finance staff and create a strong succession pipeline of financial and business talent
- Ensuring effective business performance , the planning and budgeting processes, helping to ensure that organisation`s overall financial position is in balance and its objectives achieved.
- Ensuring an effective performance management framework is in place for measuring business performance, including the development, provision and ongoing monitoring of financial and other key performance indicators.
- Maintaining an effective financial control framework, ensuring delegated authorities are in place and complies with the relevant standards.
- Working with managers to provide accurate forecasts of the in-year and year-end positions. Communicating forecasts in a timely and accurate way.
- Working with the business heads to deliver an effective risk management framework and process that anticipates, identifies and mitigates significant risks to delivery of the business plan.
- Acting as a focal point and source of expertise in financial analysis , encouraging and providing constructive challenge to managers to deliver value-for-money and efficiency across organisation.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
- Previous experience of building a finance structure ,policy and must have 5-8 years experience .
- Credible leader in relationships with external stakeholders: banks, investors, financial press
- Ideally working experience from distribution industry.
