Head of Finance

Job description / Role

We are a UAE based recruitment company, currently seeking for a Head of Finance for one of our clients in Abu Dhabi, which is a leading higher education institution in the UAE.

The Head of Finance is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring effective financial planning, management, and reporting across the university. The role oversees budgeting, financial controls, compliance, risk management, and supports senior leadership in long-term financial sustainability and resource allocation as per financial policies and procures and national and international best practice.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree with Honours (NQF Level 8) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CMA, CFA, CIA, CA, CPA) is preferred
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role preferably within the education sector

Job-Specific Skills:
• Strong analytical and strategic planning ability.
• Expertise in financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High integrity and commitment to ethical financial management.
• Proficiency in financial management systems and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion preferable.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 50,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
