Employment: Full Time

Our client, a large manufacturing company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is looking for Head of Finance and Shared Services to join as a key member of the Executive Management team and working in conjunction with the CEO.

The will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company while managing all financial related activities of the company. The role will be leading and managing the Commerce, HR, IT and the Supply chain - Procurement team in addition to Finance.

Job Responsibilities of the Head of Finance and Shared Services include:
* Review and prepare financial statements ,financial forecasts, consolidations and manage the reporting.
* Monitor financial performance versus the budget ,identify areas of under performance and plan for improvement accordingly.
* Lead the development of budget and determine financial resources required to implement relevant programs.
* Liaise with departments for approvals or dis-approvals of fund amendments and requests.
* Direct the planning, execution and reporting of year end audit (internal and external).
* Represent the company at Group Auditing Risk Committee.
* Basic understanding of the UAE laws and regulations.
* Guide the preparation of commercial bids in terms of developing business case, costing and financial modelling while coordinating with the Commercial Department.
* Manage the Investment committee approvals - set of positions, negotiations of big prices and contracts.
* Manage all cash management functions - cash concentration, account funding and liquidity for investments.
* Develop, implement and maintain and effective cost management system
* Direct the strategic investments portfolio.
* Manage relationships with banks for all related issues.
* Develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders of leading banks and related governmental agencies.
* Provide leadership and oversee the effective planning, management and administration of the Support Functions, which includes Commerce, HR, IT and Supply Chain departments.
* As a part of the Executive management and in conjunction with the CEO , contribute to the formulation and implementation of finance strategy in line with the company's vision and mission to maximise profitability.
* Ensure strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and ensure continuous improvement
* Participate in development and roll out of manpower planning.
* Develop and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the company's standards.
* Ensure that the company has appropriate systems to enable it to conduct its activities both lawfully and ethically.
* Asses the principal risks of the organisation and ensure that these risks are being monitored and mitigated
* Oversee and ensure compliance to all relevant QHSEE management policies, procedures and controls across Finance.

Requirements

* Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial leadership role for a large organisation.
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
* MBA is highly preferred.
* Mandatory to have Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CMA/CA/CFA/CIMA)
* Knowledge of -
* Strategic planning and execution.
* ERP Implementation and optimisation.
* IFRS and other GAPP
* Investments Portfolio Strategy
* Financial And Accounting Practices
* Financial Risk.
* Cost Estimation And Planning
* FP&A
