Position overview

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity leader with a keen interest in AI security and safety to spearhead Vulcan's presence in the Middle East. This executive role combines strategic leadership with training a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers on the ground to deliver B2B projects, ensuring our clients receive world-class GenAI cybersecurity solutions tailored to their business needs.

You will work closely with executive CIOs and CISOs to deliver a vision for GenAI cybersecurity, leading high exposure projects for AI Red Teaming and Guardrails implementations. You will also support the business with our senior leadership team through establishing a mid to long-term vision of Vulcan becoming a GenAI security leader in the region.

We are looking for candidates with 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic and other Asian languages is a plus. AI cybersecurity experience is not a pre-requisite.

Key responsibilities

• Regional leadership: Serve as the face of Vulcan in the Middle East, representing the brand at industry events, client engagements, and strategic forums.
• Project delivery: Oversee and ensure successful delivery of B2B cybersecurity projects, aligning with client objectives and compliance requirements.
• Team development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Client engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, providing strategic guidance on cybersecurity risk management and resilience.
• Market expansion: Drive business growth in the region through partnerships, thought leadership, and client advocacy.

Qualifications

• Cybersecurity expertise: Proven track record in delivering complex B2B cybersecurity projects for enterprise clients.
• Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, identify and develop talent, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Executive presence: Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable being the public face of Vulcan in the Middle East.
• Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of regional regulatory frameworks, risk management practices, and cybersecurity trends.
• Hyper-scaler mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice to have

• Strong network within Middle East enterprise and government sectors.
• AI cybersecurity knowledge: Familiarity with AI-related security concepts is a plus but not mandatory.
• Exposure to technology startup or consulting.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM, ISO 42001.
