WSP Middle East are currently seeking an experienced, strategically minded and results driven Director - Health Safety and Environment to lead our health, safety, environment, and wellbeing for the Middle East.

Your new role, what's involved?
* Responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of Health, Safety and Environment for the Middle East region. Including representing the Middle East in Global WSP forums.
* Working as part of the Middle East Leadership teams always ensuring a safe environment for all our employees.
* Engaging with our Clients, Contractors and Stakeholders to ensure our projects are delivered using best global practices around Health, Safety and Environment
* Promoting a positive and best in class health, safety and wellbeing culture
* Managing and improving the HSE Management System in accordance with ISO 45001 and 14001 to maintain our accreditation and ensure compliance with all global and regional legislative requirements.
* Continuously challenge and review our HSE management practices to ensure our Business Management Systems reflect the needs of our stakeholders and the HSE ways of working are best designed for impact and application by our business.
* Managing the HSE discipline, budget and ensure a consistent approach to HSE across the ME business, including support for HSE professionals within our projects
* Developing and deliver health, safety, environment, and wellbeing strategies for the region, including a clear focus on the needs of our people and our clients in delivery of premier health and safety services
* Setting targets and objectives to ensure the ME business exceeds its health, safety, environment, and wellbeing strategic aims and successfully delivers on its' policy
* Ensuring training needs are identified and addressed for our people to perform their roles safely, in accordance with our management system arrangements and risk profile
Requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* At least 15 years' experience in the field of HSE within the construction sector, with at least 5 years in a senior HSE level role working closely with leadership teams
* At least 5 years' previous experience working in the Middle East - Essential
* Hold a BSc / MSc or equivalent health and safety qualification
* Hold an environmental qualification IEMA, NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or equivalent
* Ideally I have an internal / external auditing qualification, ISO 45001, 14001 or 9001
* Chartered and active member of a professional body i.e. IOSH, IIRSM or SocEnv.
