Head of Infrastructure (Civil Design)

Job description / Role

Client is an international design consultancy and has an urgent requirement in Dubai as Head of Infrastructure to lead the team across the Middle East region.

The successful applicant will be tasked at lead a team of talented Civil Engineers across a multitude of projects including highway & roadworks, stormwater, potable water, sewer, irrigation, electrical, street lighting, traffic signals, communications and electronic security infrastructure.

Strong experience in the region is essential with a good knowledge of the Saudi Arabia market.

Requirements

* BEng / BSc (Hon.) Civil with minimum 15 years post graduate experience
* Member of associated Professional body
* C.Eng preferred although not essential
* A good understanding of BIM project implementation and the functionality of AutoCAD, Civil, 3D, Rhino or Revit
* Experience and proven ability to manage projects and a team of diverse professionals
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to successfully negotiate good outcomes;
* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
* Confident in representing the company at networking and speaking engagements
* The ability to grow, motivate and develop a team, based on its individual strengths.
* Passion and ability to be proactive in seeking out new work and developing client relationships.
* Exceptional in written and spoken English and have good report writing abilities.
* Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships, frequently in politically sensitive environments.
* Confident and Entrepreneurial spirit;
* Inspirational leader that leads by example;
* Thrives under pressure and maintains standards of work throughout.
