Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a multi-national insurance company who is looking to hire a Head of Employee Benefits Product Development and Underwriting to play a key role in its Dubai office and Middle East offering.
The role will involve working with the senior management in relation to the company’s health and corporate life insurance business lines and market in the Gulf region. You will manage the underwriting team in relation to the development of products, product reviews etc. in relation to corporate and individual healthcare products. Involving strategic, market and operational elements. The position will involve leading the underwriting committee, managing a team of Senior Underwriting Managers and supporting management in relation to negotiation with reinsurers. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a market leading insurance as it continues to develop and expanding across the Middle East.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be a senior individual with 10 years + experience relating to underwriting in the health insurance sector and most likely already be based in the UAE. You should be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the health and corporate life underwriting business at a leading insurance business and in relation to competitor activities. There is an excellent package on offer in order to attract a high calibre individual with gravitas to work in a key senior position at a multi-national insurance business.
