Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a privately owned investment company who provide project turn key solutions, specializing in building schools and hospitals

Reporting directly into the CEO your head of IT position will be responsible for leading the In house IT Team with the delivery of the IT strategy and day to day support services for the group and all associated project. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization implementation and scheduling for each area.

• Develop end-to-end implementation plans for requests for change and / or the introduction of new services and systems, across the Company and projects.
• Oversee the development and implementation of new technologies.
• Create and own a technical roadmap, aligning technical vision with business strategy, which integrates and enables complex processes through required technical means.
• Evaluate any potential risks to integrity of infrastructure in the proposed implementations, reviewing the effectiveness of implementation.
• Promote models for through-life costing of IT assets and services, working with the CFO to develop comprehensive IT budgets.
• Work closely with the Procurement Manager to identify opportunities for bulk purchasing opportunities, making cost savings where possible without compromising on quality
• Lead, manage and direct the team to support all aspects of the IT Support Service, taking operational responsibility for the team and its outputs
• Create and maintain any required IT policies, keeping in mind local laws and legislation
• Analyze business processes and systems, identifying alternative solutions and recommending new approaches where applicable
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific technical specialisms and updates to technology within each sector

Requirements

• Dynamic, energetic and eager to progress their career
• Happy to be in a “startup” environment but capable of handling a rapidly growing function
• Experience in a school setting as well as Corporate would be beneficial.
• Proven experience setting up a function from (almost) nothing, including everything from strategic set up to budgeting to advising on best systems/software/devices to used based on end-users and business requirement
• Experience with IT procurement
• Ideally already in the UAE
