Head of IT Managed Services

Job description / Role

As the Head of Managed Services, you will be the first senior IT hire and will take full ownership for setting up and leading all aspects of the organisation's managed services function. This includes overseeing the implementation of core IT infrastructure, networking, identity management, and operational service delivery through external providers.

Description

* Define and deliver the end-to-end managed services framework for the organisation.
* Oversee the full setup of networking, identity management, and IT infrastructure.
* Lead the RFP and vendor selection process for all major IT services.
* Establish operational processes, governance structures, and performance metrics (SLAs/OLAs).
* Act as the primary point of contact for all managed service operations and vendor relationships.
* Ensure service delivery is secure, scalable, and aligned to business priorities from day one.

Job Offer

This is a foundational role offering the chance to define and lead IT operations from inception, within a high-impact national initiative.

* 10+ years' experience in IT infrastructure, managed services, or technology operations.
* Deep understanding of managed service delivery models, including RFP creation, vendor onboarding, deployment, and performance management.
* Expertise in core enterprise technologies such as networking, identity and access management, cloud, and security.
* Proven ability to operate autonomously and build service frameworks from scratch.
