Job Title: Head of Marketing & Communications
Reports To: Managing Director – Marketing

Job Purpose
• Leading, driving and overseeing all market activities of the Segment, develop fully integrated marketing plan strategy and ensuring the marketing team effectively fulfills the segment marketing strategy in line with the overall group strategy, with direct reports to the Managing Director of the marketing segment.
• Essentially tasked with understanding the mindsets and capturing the imaginations of consumers, investors, business leaders, and key influencers in the business’s market.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategic Marketing
• Develop brands strategic plan involving; market analysis, market segmentation. Brand positioning, brand packaging, product positioning, creation of value propositions, value drivers and promotional campaigns for the full diverse portfolio of the segment which involved different types of products
• Analyze local and international markets (competitor’s analysis, price points, features, performance) and conduct consumer researches to identify marketing opportunities
• In collaboration with the business unit heads, identify Unique Selling Points (USP) / Value Propositions for each business and product
• Guide the marketing manager in developing campaigns for the assigned business unit. Review and Endorse the campaigns after confirming its alignment to the marketing and communication strategy.
• Work closely with product management team to define various effective marketing materials and programs
• Analyzing and approving potential strategic partner relationship for company marketing

Brand Management
• Own and manage Segment brand experience, visual identity, web site, etc. In collaboration with Group Communication, develop and maintain brand and visual identity guidelines. Ensures consistent adherence to guidelines for all marketing materials and activities
• Manage the presentation of key brands and implementation of the brand guidelines and related identic designs with third party associates / stakeholders in the UAE and abroad

Marketing & Communications Management
• Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends
• Lead the creation and publication of all marketing material in line with the marketing plans
• Lead the planning and implementing of promotional campaigns
• Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results
• Working closely with the Marketing Segment’s Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations
• Responsible for developing and leading online and print marketing strategy and campaigns
• Work closely with design agencies and assisting the marketing managers with new product launches
• Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy – including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR utilizing ATL and BTL marketing
• Develop compelling thought leadership platforms and utilize them in PR opportunities and major events for the segment
• Identify and report on measures for all marketing communications activities to ensure high return on investment in marketing and communication activities
• Develop a social media strategy for the segment. Review and Endorse digital marketing campaigns developed by the marketing manager in collaboration with the business unit
• Create and develop internal communications and that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
• Supervise and ensure effective internal communications and that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
• Evaluate overall effectiveness of marketing communications, and manage improvement and change

Administration
• Manage and maintain budgets for segment level marketing communications activities. Approve and sign off on all marketing collateral, products, and consumer promotions.

Salary:
AED 50,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications or Business, MBA is preferred
• 12-15 years of Marketing Communications experience in the Oil & Gas or FMCG field
• Excellent Strategic Marketing Skills
• Excellent Events Management Skills
• Excellent Social Media Skills
• Exceptional Team Management Skills
• Budget Management experience
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and demands
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
