Our school

PACE Modern British School, which opened in 2021, offers the English National Curriculum for children aged 3-18. Since opening, we have established a reputation in delivering affordable education to parents across different Emirates. We are an inclusive, diverse and well-rounded school, consisting of over 1100 students with over 55 nationalities, whilst fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect for all backgrounds and perspectives. Head of department requirements

The successful applicant will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, or Social Studies
• Educational qualification (e.g. B.Ed or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in MOE subjects
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (Head of Department or similar)
• Professional Teaching License approved by the Ministry of Education
• Strong knowledge of the UAE curriculum and MOE inspection framework
• Excellent Arabic and English communication skills: IELTS 5.5 score

Role overview

• Lead and supervise the Arabic, Islamic, and Social Studies departments
• Ensure curriculum compliance and academic excellence
• Support teacher development and performance evaluation
• Coordinate with school leadership, lead improvement officer, and MOE requirements
• Prepare for inspections and implement improvement plans
