Head of Procurement & Contracts

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is managing a search for a UAE flagship organisation, which operates internationally. As a result of their continued growth in the region, our client is in search of a Head of Procurement and Contracts to manage the delivery of high-value supplies, services and operations associated with its aviation, engineering and maintenance categories.

The Manager of Procurement and Contract will build and maintain constructive working relationships across different organizational functions and continuously partake in the implementation of best procurement practices in the organisation, whilst formulating commercially viable procurement strategies and models.

This management role, will support internal teams to establish periodic master procurement programmes and resource planning to ensure performance completion. Additionally, the role will agree case-specific procurement plans with in-house users before beginning the purchasing process and monitor the activity against plans.

The role will require you to foster and maintain successful working relationships with corporate level decision-makers in vendor organizations to secure continuity of supplies, services and operations, considering cost, scope and quality.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, the candidate will be a Contracts and Procurement professional, who has a successful track-record (minimum of 10 years) as a Contracts or Procurement Manager within an International Airline or Aviation business.

The incumbent will have had exposure to aircraft cabin solutions, retrofit engineering and or aircraft maintenance procurement. You will hold a relevant Degree from an international University and be a member of relevant professional bodies.
