Head of Supply Chain & Procurement
28k MAX per month all in plus healthcare and bonus

The Head of Supply Chain & Procurement is responsible for the direction of the stock management and purchasing function to achieve service and inventory goals as well as the development of best in class processes to drive service level improvement and business financial objectives.

The Head of Supply Chain & Procurement will work across functional boundaries to ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction relative to inventory service levels and management and communication of inventory failures.

Position Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a high-performance culture in the function, resulting in continued success meeting functional KPIs and improved levels of customer service
- Solid sustainable process rigor leading to substantial product cost reduction targets
- Develop Supply Chain stress point indicators to identify gaps, shortcomings, risks in the current supply chain model. Create and implement an improvement plan
- Collaborate across functions to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory planning
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Manage J.I.T and rush sourcing
- Provide product projections to key suppliers to ensure product availability on a timely basis
- Evaluate all purchase orders to ensure that order quantities are the most cost effective possible for goods and freight costs
- Provide Accounting Department with up to date product costing to assist in maintaining product costing, and projected cost of goods
- Communicate all pertinent issues and concerns regarding suppliers & products to all appropriate team members as needed
- Implement sourcing strategies to support company objectives, providing a competitive advantage in the areas of all food categories.
- Drive cost reduction opportunities through the company.
- Establish and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers
- Create strategic supplier relationships with key suppliers to meet/exceed company requirements for cost reduction for direct and indirect products and services.
- Manage the work flow and priorities between different department objectives.
- Manage and optimize supplier performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence and reduction in total cost of ownership.
- Track Key Performance Indicators to evaluate and report performance
- Collect and maintain market intelligence and corporate information on suppliers, their costs and their markets.
- Identify and develop key talent

Requirements

- 7+ years relevant product management & purchasing experience preferably in a food environment.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques as well as operational systems and warehouse management
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving
- Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the company to achieve objectives.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
- Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend and implement improvements within the function.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes.
- Must be very team oriented and be able to work across boundaries and borders and influence and lead procurement functional specialists.
- Demonstrated superior negotiation skills and the proven ability to train and develop organizational capability in this skill
- Sound business acumen with the ability to quickly and thoroughly understand business priorities and operations. Must be an analytical thinker.
- Excellent MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) capabilities required
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
