Head of Product Management, Securities Services, MENAP

Job Description
* Responsible for P&L for the SS products
* Set strategy for the SS product line for the region
* Identify opportunities to introduce new products or open SS geographies
* Responsible for product governance framework + its adherence (country addendums, fee etc.)
* Work with the sales and service management team to enhance product commercialization
* Responsible for overall segment relationship with capital markets regulators across the region either directly or through local stakeholders
* Responsible for maintaining senior level relationship/engagement with market infrastructure entities
* Owners of new rollouts (product/solutions/geographies) from investment approvals to delivery
* Shared responsibility for development and implementation of SS & CAT strategy for MENAP region

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Product Management and Development
* Identify and market-size new business opportunities and revenue pools
* Propose new initiatives to regional management and central product teams for investment approvals
* Ensure approved projects are managed within the approved timeframe and budget
* Ensure provide product solutions & support for newly rolled out products, complex deals or RFPs
* Maintain competitive pricing policies and tariff structure to maximise product profitability
* Work jointly with sales to develop collaterals for local market, communicate product launches and assist in developing sales campaign strategy (where required) to ensure that new products meet planned volume and revenue targets
* Provide training and ongoing support to securities services sales (for new products) and to the local product management team for existing and new product offerings
* Maintain competitive analysis matrix relating to our securities services products to drive short and longer term strategy plans from

Clients
* Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and assist to implement structures and solutions to meet these needs
* Collaborate with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior
* Maintain high level client interaction

Governance
* Ensure that country product managers maintain the product programmes and PPG database as per zero tolerance guidelines
* Provide senior level support to ops with ensuring internal audit standards are followed and reflected in process guides

Freedom of Decision Making
* Identify and recommend new products and / or provide suggestion to enhance existing product
* Participate in decision making of product positioning and pricing policies
* Tactics / business strategy to support sales targets for assigned product / market

Others
* Commercialize new and existing product capabilities
* Seek client feedback on our product capabilities, understand their existing and emerging requirements and maintain sales momentum
* Be a part of the market advocacy process
* Ensure clients point of view and interest is represented via-a-vis the regulators and the CSDs
* Contributes to SS delivery in the region

Key Relationships

Internal
* TB SS Heads, Head of TB, CIB, GTO, SDS, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Credit, Regional and Group Product Managers

External
* TB SS and Corporate clients, market infrastructure entities (exchanges, clearing houses, depositories)
* To gain commitment for roll-out of new product and to support existing products on on-going basis

Requirements

* The candidate must have product development background gained at a Capital Markets, Securities Services (Custody and Fund Administration) provider, similar to a Custodian bank, broker dealer, Investment/Asset/Fund Management and/or trading stock exchange
* The candidate would ideally have had previous experience working with Middle Eastern securities exchanges, regulators, depository companies and fund managers
* The candidate would ideally be an Arabic speaker (but not a must all). Must have perfect English in all aspects (speaking and writing) - this is an absolute must
* The candidate must have strong research and analytical skills gained either by previous experience and/or through professional qualifications such as Project Management and or CFA/CMA/CPA etc
* Preferably having strategic product development, management and planning abilities with financial products' concept to roll-out experience
* Very strong Excel analysis and formulae utilization skills a must
* Very strong PowerPoint presentation skills a must
* Convincing; persistent; assertive traits a must for this role
* Previous experience of managing senior stakeholders from
* presenting concepts to securing funding from C-Suite
* Team player and self motivated with previous people management abilities (as they will have a single direct report immediately on appointment)
